    General Job Summary:
    This is a full-time position located on the Emmetsburg Campus. The High School Partnerships (HSP) Specialist is responsible for: monitoring budgets, reconcile expenses reports, and prepare enrollment activities/reports. The HSP Specialist, in the Director’s absence, will answer inquiries or direct them to the appropriate source. Additionally, this position will assist the High School Partnerships Coordinator and/or Director with specific activities/events, and coordinate and schedule meetings as needed. Strong organizational skills, exceptional customer service, outstanding technology skills, and initiatives are essential.

                                       Essential Duties / Responsibilities                                
    1. Support the College’s High School Partnerships Department
    2. Process registrations of concurrent enrollment classes, job shadows, internships, worksite tours and classroom speakers.
    3. Assist and participate in assigned activities associated with High School Partnerships or Intermediary Connections.
    4. Data entry for registration of students and sponsorships for billing purposes.
    5. Assist with various grant applications and oversight.
    6. Requisition, maintain, and monitor of various budgets in high school partnerships.
    7. Serve as liaison between area school districts including the Career Academies.
    8. Manage and perform various office tasks as assigned.
    9. In the Director’s absence, assist students, faculty, staff, and others in answering inquiries or resolving problems.

    2. Plan, attend, and participate at meetings, take minutes and distribute accordingly.

    1. Assist the HSP Coordinator with annual events like orientation of students and new teacher orientation.
    2.  Prepare and process student opinion surveys in compliance with NACEP.
    3. Other duties as assigned.

    1. Represent the College in the most positive manner with prospective, former, and current students, staff, and the community.
    2. Must be enthusiastic, energetic, and self-directed in performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.
    3. Assume responsibility; deal effectively with problems and exercise independent judgment when making decisions.
    4. Establish and maintain good working relations with school districts, other College personnel, and the communities.
    5. Ability to efficiently perform tasks in an environment with frequent interruptions.
    6. Thorough knowledge of office procedure, as well as correct English usage, grammar, and punctuation. Read, understand and express oneself clearly and effectively in oral and written communication.
    7. Ability to relate effectively to a diverse group of students.
     
    Special Demands:
    Sedentary to light work. Position involves sitting most of the time. Constant (67-100%) reaching, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions and viewing various types of close visual work. Frequent (34-66%) stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling and carrying. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and 10 pounds of force frequently. Required to utilize personal vehicle for some travel. Will require flexible hours including some evenings.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    A bachelor’s degree and two or more years of experience in a related area required. Personal computer software knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite required. Knowledge of the K-12 school structures desired.
     
    Salary:  $19.50 per hour
