ALGONA AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MISSION: To cultivate economic momentum and community vitality in the Algona area. 

WHAT WE DO:

· Promote and market Algona Chamber member businesses support

· Provide information and support to help start and maintain your business

· Promote Algona to tourists and residents through marketing and communications

· Coordinate local events that benefit local businesses and enhance the quality of life for residents

· Encourage and implement social and economic activities which create a sense of home and community vitality

· Connect our members with the tools and resources needed to succeed, including advertising opportunities, educational sessions, networking events, and other business resources

· Work in partnership with AAEDC (Algona Area Economic Development) and City of Algona on a variety of economic development initiatives with a focus on the needs of the community

- Funding provided by membership dues (60%) and events (40%) 

- Chamber is a 501C6 non-profit status, but incurs the same business expenses as all of our member businesses. 

- Ambassador organization is under the Chamber's umbrella, but operate with their own leadership and treasury 

- Algona Bucks program's sales in 2023 added over $504,000 to the local economy.
